Aito Media to be led by a new CEO: Jussi Lipponen

After 18 years of existence, and many successes in non-scripted programs such as the well-known The Food Inventors, The Au-Pairs, The Redneck Auction, The Night Patrol, You Are What You Eat and Record Factory, Aito Media is opening a new era with the nomination of Jussi Lipponen as CEO, after Tarja Pääkkönen’s interim period.
He will lead the creative process of the society, expanding the fiction activity while keeping the strength and know-how of Aito for non-scripted programs. This nomination follows Mediawan’s strategy to continue to support and to develop its ambition on the international scale.
Jussi Lipponen is a creative and passionate TV professional who has worked for Moskito Television / Nent Studios as a Director of Entertainment and Director of Development for the last three years. He has also worked for broadcasters several years as a Head of Viafree Finland at Nordic Entertainment Group and Channel Manager of C More at MTV.
"I’m so excited and honoured to start my journey as a CEO of Aito Media. It’s an amazing company full of talented people who have created and produced great formats and content. I’m looking forward working with this great team and creating amazing content and strategic solutions for our old and new clients", says Jussi Lipponen.
"Jussi has a strong vision and experience in creating new formats and his track record in selling homegrown and 3rd party formats for local market is impressive. I am proud to support him in his new function and to gradually pass him the torch of the expansion of this beautiful group that Aito is", declares Tarja Pääkkönen.
"We look forward to welcoming Jussi Lipponen to the Aito team and to the Mediawan Group and we thank Tarja Pääkkönen for her professionalism at this pivotal time for Aito's development. The expansion of Aito particularly in fiction, is a shared strategic ambition to develop the group internationally in all genres, and Mediawan is fully committed to provide Jussi and AITO its full support", adds Elisabeth d'Arvieu, Managing Director of Mediawan Pictures.
