TV production company Aito Media is now Mediawan Finland!

Television production company Aito Media, part of the European media conglomerate Mediawan, continues its bold renewal process and adopts the name of its parent company, becoming Mediawan Finland.

Aito Media, now called Mediawan Finland, has produced many successful series such as the celebrated crime series Lakeside Murders available in the Ruutu streaming service, Pirjo, The Specials, The Au Pairs, Rich House Poor House, The Food Inventors, Pretty & Single, The Redneck Auction, The Night Patrol, and You Are What You Eat.

As part of its ongoing renewal process, the company bolstered its ranks earlier this spring by hiring the top-notch industry talents, Lauri Nurkse and Emilia Valentin, into key roles in scripted and non-scripted content and business operations.

In future, Mediawan Finland continues to develop and produce popular entertainment, reality TV, documentaries, factual entertainment, high-quality drama series, comedy, and movies for Finnish TV networks and international streaming services in collaboration with the leading industry professionals. Other strong points of the company include different types of content solutions and branded entertainment productions for different brands in co-operation with commercial TV broadcasters.

Nearly 20 years in Finnish entertainment business—incorporating the backing of an international organisation, opportunities, and networks

In future, we will gather the best talent in Finland to develop and produce the most unique, wide-ranging, and popular content for our customers, while keeping a keen ear for their needs, serving them, and exceeding their expectations”, in the words of the chief executive officer, Jussi Lipponen.

The company has a 19-year history in the field of Finnish media production. “Now is the right time to turn the page, hit the gas, and raise the bar even higher in all our operations. The support of the Mediawan Group helps us reach our new goals. We are very excited about this new beginning. We have developed our operations immensely in a short time span, and we are not stopping here,” Lipponen continues.

In addition, we will soon start shooting a new thriller, Siege 55 (Piiritys). The series tells the story of the most unusual figure in Finnish criminal history, Ilpo Larha, and the events of the unprecedented tangle of crime from both law enforcement and criminal perspectives. The main cast features Elias Salonen and Jussi Vatanen. The series will be directed by Petri Kotwica. The series will be published in 2023 as a Ruutu original series. We are currently starting up and working on many intriguing, yet-to-be announced entertainment productions as well. These are particularly good examples of our new practices in action. We will soon get to share more good news,” Lipponen says.

Mediawan Finland will be moving to newly renovated offices in Vallila, Helsinki. The new office, fit for the hybrid work methods of our time, will be finished in May and is situated at Elimäenkatu 9 in Vallilan Kravattitehdas business premises.
